General remarks on instrument control
Warning
Make sure to read and observe the information provided in the section
Safety Notes .
Operation of the computer of the VISUCAM C is based on the
Windows 98 SE operating system. For safety reasons, the operating
system user interface is not accessible to the user.
For the VISUCAM C user interface, the Windows operating philosophy
applies analogously. This refers to the work with the mouse, the use of
icons, dialog boxes and menus, confirmation by double-click, etc.
The program includes only a few forced procedures.
The user can switch back and forth between the two
Patient
Manager and Image Capture desktops.
In rare cases it may occur, that Windows error messages are displayed
on the monitor. This might happen, for instance, if the program process
is affected (mostly by external disturbances).
Risks to persons are definitely precluded by redundantly existing safety
interlocks of hardware and software of the instrument.
Caution
If warning messages appear frequently, shut down the instrument and
label it as being defective.
Then call Zeiss Authorized Service.
The instrument may be controlled through:
