Safe operation of the CT system

Basic safety instructions

X-rays

 WARNING

Risk of death due to X-ray radiation in the radiation protection
enclosure. X-ray radiation is generated in the X-ray tube.

Irreparable health damage with fatal consequences.

—

Operate the CT system only with complete safety equipment
mounted.

—

Switch off the X-ray tube before opening the loading door.

—

Do not make any modifications to the program and do not install
your own software on the computers.

The functioning of the computers and the CT system may be dis-
turbed.

—

Never step into the interior of the radiation protection enclosure
when the X-ray radiation is switched on.

Electric voltage

 WARNING

Danger to life due to electric shock resulting from contact with
electrical lines and components.

Cardiac arrest, burns, and death.

ü

Any work on the controller must be carried out only by a certified
electrician. The housing covers of the controller may only be re-
moved if the CT system is out of operation. The following measures
need to be taken for this:

—

Turn off the drives and the controller.

—

Switch off the main switch and secure it against being switched on
again inadvertently.

Warning: Even when the main switch is switched off, voltage is still
applied to the main switch and the line filter.

—

Remove the power plug or disconnect the electrical equipment from
the power supply.

Note: A power plug is not always available. The CT system are nor-
mally connected via a permanent connection.
