No function at all
Power plug of stand not
inserted.
Plug in the power cord.
Power switch of stand not
switched on
Press power switch.
Automatic circuit breaker in
power switch of stand
responds.
Press power switch.
Defective power cord Replace the power cord.
Power failure Contact in-house electrician.
Switched off via inclination
switch on suspension system
Move suspension system down from
its parking position.
Motion of suspension
arm too stiff
Adjustment screw over
tightened.
Slightly loosen adjustment screw.
Suspension arm cannot
hold the OPMI in
position
Balance of the suspension
arm needs to be adjusted
Adjust balance of suspension arm
using M10 hex key
Motion of OPMI too
stiff
Friction adjustment screw on
stand over tightened
Loosen friction adjustment screw on
stand as required.
Stand wobbles Floor not level. Stand base
not appropriately positioned
Slightly change the stand base position
LED light source
remains dark and fan is
running
Inclination switch
deactivated.
Move suspension arm of surgical
microscope down from its standby
position.

constantly off and on
again during operation
Defective stand electronics. Illuminate surgical area with an OR
luminaire. Contact Service.
Ventilation openings are
covered or dirty.
Ventilation openings must be clear;
clean them if necessary.
Insufficient surgical field
illumination
Lamp aging may lead to
reduced light intensity.
Contact Service to replace light source.
