Errors occurring prior to the measuring operation
If the CMM cannot be started, check whether the following errors can
be excluded:
Errors Cause Measure Check
The CMM cannot be
started. Wrong start-up se-
quence. – Follow the specified or-
der.
– First, switch on the CMM
and then the computer.
Controller The controller is off. Switch the control unit on:
– Press the lateral push-but-
ton on the control con-
sole.
The display must be
visible.
Drives The drives are off. Switch on the drives:
– Press the key on the con-
trol console.
The LED above the
key must light up.
The EMERGENCY
STOP button on the
control console is
locked.
Unlock the button:
– Slightly turn the EMER-
GENCY STOP button .
The button pops out
a few millimeters.
– If the above mentioned errors can be excluded, put the CMM out of
operation and repeat the start-up procedure.
– If measuring operation is still not possible, call a ZEISS service engi-
neer or our support team.
