In determining the correct temperature control setting,
all these factors have to be considered and some
experimentation may be necessary.
Do not allow children to tamper with the
controls or play with the product.
The Freezer
The control panel is made up of the following:
a) Green Indicator Light
When the appliance is connected to the mains, the
green indicator light will illuminate and remain lit
until the appliance is disconnected from the mains.
b) Yellow Indicator Light
This light will illuminate when the Fast Freeze
facility is switched on and remain lit until the facility
is switched off.
c) Red Indicator Light
This warning light will illuminate as soon as the
appliance is connected to the mains and then go
out when the correct temperature for safe food
storage has been reached. It will illuminate again if
the temperature within the freezer is too warm, i.e.
the door has been opened for too long or if too
much warm food has just been added to the
freezer. The light will go out again when the
temperature returns to normal.
d) Fast Freeze Control Knob
To switch on the Fast Freeze facility, turn this
control knob so that the marker lines up with the S.
The compressor for the freezer will operate
continuously so that the freezer is cold enough to
safely freeze fresh food.
To switch off the Fast Freeze facility, turn this
control knob so that the marker lines up with the N.
Use a coin to make turning of this control knob
easier.
e) Thermostat Control Knob for the Freezer
This control knob is used to set and adjust the
temperature inside the freezer. A medium setting is
usually the most suitable.
The Refrigerator
Below is the recommended storage positions for
various food types:
1. Ready-cooked foods, fresh meat, cold cuts.
2. Milk, dairy products.
3. Fruits, vegetables, salads.
4. Cheese, butter.
5. Eggs.
6. Yoghurt, sour cream.
7. Small bottles, drinks.
8. Large bottles, drinks.
