Using the “Aux TS File” Option
When encoding UDP, the user can also simultaneously save the TS stream to a file.
(1)
Connect and configure the encoder to output UDP.
(2)
When UDP output is selected, the “Aux TS File Enable” option appears. Set this to “True” using the
dropdown menu.
(3)
Insert a USB drive into the port on the rear panel.
In the “Aux TS File Location” text box, enter “/media/sda1/{file name}.ts” where {file name}
is any title of your choice. In the pictured example, a file entitled “encode_sme01.ts” would
be saved to the USB drive.
*Note:
After clicking “stop”, wait at least 10 seconds before removing the USB drive from the encoder.
This will ensure all buffered data finishes transferring to the USB drive.
