   RUNNING THE DECODER 

 

This section gives step-by-step instructions on taking the Z3-DM8107-SDI-RPS and using it for decode. 
 

8.1

 

Connect the Output

Connect the other end of the BNC cable to an HD Monitor with SDI input (or use an SDI->HDMI 
converter.) 

 

8.2

 

Set Up the Decoder Board to Work with the Encoder Board 

 

As shipped the Decoder board will have the same IP address as the Encoder board (192.168.81.7).  
Either the Encoder board or the Decoder board (or both) should have “DHCP” activated, so that they 
can have different addresses.

If not already done, set DHCP on the Encoder board (see Section 7.12 for details on how to do 
this).  You can also set DHCP on the Decoder board. 

 

In this example, the Encoder board through DHCP has an IP address of 192.168.0.7.  The Decoder 
board is set to the default value of 192.168.81.7.
