RUNNING THE DECODER
The Z3-DM368-RPS also supports decode and display via composite, component, or HDMI. The steps below
show how to use the Z3-DM368-RPS to decode a stream generated by another Z3-DM368-RPS. Another
example of decode can be found in the next section on reading and writing files.
8.1
Connect the Decoder Board
(1)
Connect the Ethernet to a hub/router connected to the streaming source.
(2)
Connect the Serial and 5V power.
(3)
Connect “Component Out” of the Z3-DM368-RPS to a monitor.
(4)
Connect “A/V Out” of the Z3-DM368-RPS to the L/R audio inputs of the same monitor.
8.2
Set up the Decoder Board to Work with the Encoder Board
(5)
If you are using another Z3-DM368-RPS as the encoding source, you need to make sure that the
encoding Z3-DM368-RPS and decoding Z3-DM368-RPS have different IP addresses. If you are using
DHCP, this will automatically be taken care of. If you are not using DHCP, you should set at least
one of them to use DHCP to ensure the addresses are different.
