USB 3.0
This is a standard USB 3.0 host jack, with up to 700 mA power capacity.
The encoder provides power for a device but cannot be powered itself from this jack.

Gigabit Ethernet
This is a standard RJ45 jack for Gigabit Ethernet.

DC Power Input
DC power input for the encoder system. P12V DC (center positive) to jack J6 for normal operation.
The jack used is from Contact Technology part number DC-009-1x-S124 with 1.3mm center pin. It mates with
plugs with a 3.5mm O.D. and 1.3mm center pin.
The power applied to this jack is also delivered directly to a camera connected to the encoder board via KEL
cable. This means that the voltage levels from the power supply connected here must be within the
requirements of the camera. Usually this means that the DC voltage applied must be between 9 VDC and
12VDC.
