Step 15: Remove the calibrator and make sure that
the microphone is tightly screwed. Then
attach the all-weather protector according
to 5.4.
Step 16: In the case that UAPMO.Diagnostic Status
Detail shows MIC ADC FAIL, Reset the
battery.
If this error recurs, make sure that the
microphone is not loose and refer to the
subsection 8.5.
NOTE
Rough handling of the calibrator when being
attached to and removed from the microphone
brings excessive pressure to the microphone
diaphragm, and may result in MIC ADC FAIL.
NOTE
Don't rotate the calibrator counterclockwise
when being attached to and removed from the
microphone. It may cause loosening of the
microphone.
WARNING
The microphone replacing and the sensitivity
calibration are prohibited when an explosive
atmosphere is prese
nt.
8.3.2 Sensitivity calibration procedure
Step 1: Remove the all weather protector referring
to subsection 5.4.
Step 2: Connect the calibrator with the WN100.
Step 3: Set the calibrator output to 1 kHz/114dB
and apply the calibration sound pressure
from the calibrator.
Step 4: Enable the calibration mode by setting
“Calibration Switch” of WNO block to “1:
Calibration Mode”.
Step 5: Read “Temperature Correction Switch” of
WNO block and if it is “0:OFF”, set it to “1:
ON”
Step 6: Wait 30seconds at least.
Step 7: Read LpCEq of WNO block to check a
measurement result
-
In the case that LpCEq is 114.0 dB and
Microphone Drift Calibration Coeff is
from -2.0 to 2.0 dB, go to the Step 9:
-
In the case that LpCEq is 114.0 dB and
Microphone Drift Calibration Coeff is
less than -2.0 or more than 2.0, Replace
the Microphone referring to subsection
8.3.1.
-
In the case that LpCEq is from 112.0 to
116.0 dB except for 114.0 dB, go to the
Step 8:
-
In the case that the LpCEq is out of the
above range, check the microphone
connection according to the 8.4.6. If the
LpCEq is still out of the range, contact
Yokogawa service personnel.
Step 8: Set “Microphone Drift Calibration Coeff” of
WNO block to a difference of its value and
LpCEq from 114.
e.g. In the case the input is 114dB and,
“LpCEq” and “Microphone Drift Calibration
Coeff” of WNO block is 113.5 and 0.1
dB, “Microphone Drift Calibration Coeff”
should be set to 0.6(=114 - 113.5 + 0.1).
-
Go to Step 6:
Step 9: Disable the calibration mode by setting
“Calibration Switch” of WNO block to “0:
OFF”.
Step 10: If “Temperature Correction Switch” of
WNO block was set to “1:Enable” on Step
5: set “Temperature Correction Switch” to
“0:OFF”.
Step 11: Remove the calibrator and make sure that
the microphone is tightly screwed. Then
attach the all-weather protector according
to 5.4.
Step 12: In the case that UAPMO.Diagnostic Status
Detail shows MIC ADC FAIL, Reset the
battery.
If this error recurs, make sure that the
microphone is not loose and refer to to
subsection 8.5.
NOTE
Rough handling of the calibrator when being
attached to and removed from the microphone
brings excessive pressure to the microphone
diaphragm, and may result in MIC ADC FAIL.
NOTE
Don't rotate the calibrator counterclockwise
when being attached to and removed from the
microphone. It may cause loosening of the
microphone.
