• Connection Procedure
When connecting a USB printer, directly connect the printer to the VB8300 using a
USB cable as shown below.
• You can connect the USB cable regardless of the power ON/OFF state of the
VB8300 (supports hot-plugging). However, do not connect or disconnect the USB
cable after the power is turned ON until key operation is ready (approximately 20 to
30 s).
• Connect the Type A connector of the USB cable to the VB8300.
• When the power to the VB8300 is ON, the printer is detected and is ready for use
after a few seconds after the printer is connected.

•
Connect the printer directly to the VB8300 without going through a hub.
•
Only connect a USB mouse or USB printer that can be used to the VB8300 USB port.
•
Do not connect printers to both USB ports on the VB8300 simultaneously.
•
Do not turn the printer OFF or remove the USB cable while image data is being output to the
printer.
Print Color
You can set the print color to color, black and white, or reversed black and white.
OFF
The screen image is printed in black and white.
Color
The screen image is printed in color.
Reverse
The black-and-white screen image is printed with the black and white reversed.
Printer Driver
Printers conforming to USB Printer Class Ver.1.1 can be used. Printing is possible on a
USB printer corresponding to the printer driver selected here.

Connect only the printers that are allowed.
•
For other USB printers the have been tested for compatibility, contact your nearest
YOKOGAWA dealer.
•
The VB8300 does not detect “out of paper” and printer errors on the USB printer. If an error
occurs, press the PRINT key again to stop the printing.
•
To print the screen image on a USB printer connected to a PC, save the screen image data
on the CF card, USB memory or the VB8300 internal hard disk (see section 10.5). The data
can be loaded into the PC and printed.
