7. Setting Parameters
FN310 can remotely handle sensor type changes,
Tag No. setup, monitoring of self-diagnostic results,
according to communication with the field wireless
configuration tool or the device configuration tool.
7.1 Preparation for Parameter
Setting
This product can be set parameters via infrared port
or field wireless network.
When setting parameters via field wireless network,
connect this product to the field wireless network.
For details on how to connect to the field wireless
network, refer to subsection 6.3 “Connecting to the
Field Wireless Network”.
When setting parameters via infrared port, use the
infrared port on front of this product.

7.2 Preparing Software
7.2.1 Softwares for the Field Wireless
Configuration Tool and the Device
Configuration Tool
Before using the device configuration tool, confirm
that CF/DD and DeviceDTM for this product are
installed in the device configuration tool.

CF(Capabilities File)/DD(Device Description)
A CF file contains information, such as the vendor
of the field device, its model and revision, available
types of process data (flow rate, temperature,
pressure, etc.), and number of data items. A DD file
contains the information on parameters, such as
data structures and attributes.
DeviceDTM
DeviceDTM, (Device Type Manager) is driver
software for field devices provided based on the
FDT (Field Device Tool) technology.
The field wireless configuration tool or the device
configuration tool allows to read the device
information.
