Note 2. Specific condition of use
When the equipment is mounted in an area
where the use of EPL Ga equipment is
required, it shall be installed in such a way that,
even in the event of rare incidents, an ignition
source due to impact and/or friction sparks is
excluded.
Precaution shall be taken to minimize the risk
from electrostatic discharges or propagating
brush discharges on the non-metallic parts
(excluding glass parts) or coated parts of the
equipment.
Note 3. Installation and erection
See the control drawing.
If the equipment is mounted in an area where
explosive atmospheres may be present, it must
be installed in such a way that the risk from
electrostatic discharges.
Note 4. Use and setting-up (operation)
The battery pack may be replaced in a
hazardous area. The battery pack has
surface resistivity greater than 1G ohm and
must be properly installed in the enclosure
of the transmitter. Care must be taken
during transportation to and from the point of
installation to prevent electrostatic charge build-
up.
Use only F9915MA or F9915NS for the battery
pack.
Precaution shall be taken to minimize the risk
from electrostatic discharge when replacing the
battery pack in a hazardous area.
Use only TL-5930/S or SL-2780/S (TADIRAN)
or SB-D02 (Vitzrocell) for the cells. The cells
must be replaced in a non-hazardous area.
Note 5. Maintenance and repair
WARNING
A modification of the equipment would no longer
comply with the construction described in the
certificate documentation.
Only personnel authorized by Yokogawa Electric
Corporation can repair the equipment.
