2.2 Entering Strings
After you have selected a setup item and pressed ENTER, a character input dialog box will appear if it
is necessary. This section explains the operations that you can perform after the dialog box appears.
Entering Strings
1.
Using the
rotary knob
and
ENTER
, enter a string. The string that you entered appears in the
edit screen.
2.
Press the various soft keys to edit the string as necessary.
3.
After you have finished entering and editing the string, press the
OK
soft key to confirm the
string that you entered and close the character input dialog box. The string be applied to the
relevant item.
You can also confirm the string by moving the cursor to
ENT
on the displayed keyboard and then pressing
ENTER
.

Input history
Strings that you have entered in the past remain in
the input history. You can enter these strings (see
the next page).
Moves the cursor to the left
Moves the cursor to the right
Deletes the previous character
Confirms the entered string
Note
• If there is a limit to the length of the string, you will not be able to enter characters after the limit is
reached.
• You can also enter strings using a USB keyboard.
