Action URI
HTTP/HTTPS GET Request
Action URI allows Skype for Business phones to interact with web server application by receiving
and handling an HTTP or HTTPS GET request. When receiving a GET request, the Skype for
Business phone will perform the specified action and respond with a 200 OK message.
Configuring Trusted IP Address for Action URI
For security reasons, Skype for Business phones do not receive and handle HTTP/HTTPS GET
requests by default. You need to specify the trusted IP address for action URI. When the Skype
for Business phone receives a GET request from the trusted IP address for the first time, the LCD
screen prompts the message “Allow Remote Control?”. You can specify one or more trusted IP
addresses on the Skype for Business phone, or configure the Skype for Business phone to
receive and handle the URI from any IP address.
You can use action URI feature to capture the Skype for Business phone’s current screen. For
more information, refer to
Capturing the Current Screen of the Phone on page 230 .
Procedure
Specify the trusted IP address for action URI using the configuration files or locally.
