7.3 PtP communication via extension module EM M09

9pin SubD jack: (isolated)

Using the

PtP

functionality the RS485 interface is allowed to connect via serial point-to-

point connection to different source res. target systems.

A hardware configuration to enable the PtP functionality is not necessary.

Turn off the power supply.

Mount the extension module.

Chapter 2.4 ‘Mounting’ on page 13

Establish a cable connection to the communication partner.

Switch on the power supply.

After a short boot time the interface X1 PtP is ready for PtP communication.
