b5-17: PID Accel/Decel Time

The PID acceleration/deceleration time is applied on the PID setpoint value.
As the normal acceleration times C1-

oo

are applied after the PID output, they reduce the responsiveness of the system and

can cause hunting or over- and undershooting when the setpoint changes quickly. Using the PID acceleration/deceleration

time instead helps to avoid such problems.
The PID acceleration/deceleration time can be canceled using a digital input programmed for “PID SFS cancel” (H1-

oo

 =

34).

b5-32: Integrator Ramp Limit

The Integrator Ramp Limit provides a way to tune the PI loop so that it is less reactive to sudden spikes and dips in the feedback

signal. Pressure waves may develop in a pressure regulated systems with long piping and the Integrator Ramp Limit function

helps curb instability in the PI controller in such situations.
When the Integrator Ramp Limit is enabled, the PI Integrator is limited to +/- the b5-32 value of the soft starter output (output

frequency without slip compensation).
A b5-32 setting of zero disables this feature and the integrator is allowed to operate normally.
This feature only applies to the drive standard PI loop. It does not apply to the PI loop associated with the water level control

function (well draw-down control) (Q4 parameters).
