 Reinstall fuel supply line to the fuel injection 

pump. 

 

16.

 Prime the fuel system and check for leaks. 

 

Checking / Adjustment Of Fuel 
Injection Timing 

 

1.

 Using a wrench on the front crankshaft pulley 

bolt, rotate the engine clockwise until the timing 
mark on the crankshaft pulley is aligned with the 
“O” or TDC (Top Dead Center) mark on the 
timing grid of the gear case cover. 

 

2.

 Remove the center bolt 

(Figure7-47, (1))

 and 

sealing washer from the rear of the fuel injection
