Procedure for shallow water cruising

1. Move the remote control lever to the

neutral position.

2. Push the “

” (up) side of the power trim

and tilt switch to tilt the outboard motor
up slightly to the desired position.

WARNING! Using the power trim and
tilt switch on the bottom cowling

while the boat is moving or engine is
on could increase the risk of falling
overboard and could distract the op-
erator, increasing the risk of collision
with another boat or an obstacle.

3. To return the outboard motor to the nor-

mal running position, push the “

”

(down) side of the power trim and tilt
switch to tilt the outboard motor down
slowly.
