Selecting and Playing Individual Voices

The MU100R has a stunningly huge variety of Voices — a total of 1267. In
this section, you’ll select and play Voices in the XG mode, which features
1074 different Voices. The MU100R also features a built-in VL tone genera-
tor that provides 256 Voices using the sophisticated Virtual Acoustic Syn-
thesis system (page 63).

In this section, you’ll learn how to:

Select Voice banks and Voices from the panel controls.

Change the Play mode display to suit your preference.

Select and play Voices from a MIDI keyboard.

Calling Up the XG Mode

Operation

Press the [MODE] button.

Select “XG” in the display.
Use the [SELECT
