TIP

Do not apply grease to the inner surface “a” of 
the secondary fixed sheave “2”. If any grease 
gets on the inner surface of the secondary fixed 
sheave, be sure to wipe it off thoroughly.

3. Install:

• Oil seals 
• Secondary sliding sheave “1”

TIP

• Make sure the mark side of the oil seal out-

ward.

• Install the secondary sliding sheave onto the 

secondary fixed sheave “2” with the oil seal 
guide “3”.

4. Install:

• Guide pins “1”

5. Lubricate:

• Guide pin grooves “a”

• O-rings “2” 

(with the recommended lubricant)

6. Install:

• Spring seat 2
• Spring seat 1
• Compression spring
• Clutch carrier assembly
• Secondary sheave nut “1”

TIP

• Install the sheave spring compressor “2” and 

sheave fixed block “3” onto the secondary 
sheave as shown. Then, compress the spring, 
and install the secondary sheave nut.

• Install the secondary sheave nut with its ta-

pered side facing the clutch carrier.
