3. Apply the rear brake lever or brake pedal.
4. Completely close the throttle lever, then push

the start switch to crank the engine with the
starter. Release the start switch when the en-
gine has started.

TIP

If the engine fails to start, release the start switch.
Wait a few seconds before the next cranking at-
tempt to allow battery voltage to restore. Do not
crank the engine more than 10 seconds on any
single attempt.
