Drive shaft and lower case
2. Install:
• Impeller key “1”
• Impeller “2”

a. Install the impeller key “1”.
b. Align the slot “a” in the impeller “2” with the
impeller key “1”, and then install the impel-
ler “2”.

3. Install:
• Insert cartridge “1”
▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼
a. Aligning the protrusion “a” on the insert
cartridge with the groove “b” of the water
pump housing “2”.

4. Install:
• O-ring “1”
• Water pump housing assembly “2”
• Seal “3”
• Cover “4”
Do not turn the drive shaft counterclock-
wise, otherwise the water pump impeller
may be damaged.
TIP:
When installing the water pump housing, apply
grease to the inside of the insert cartridge, and
then turn the drive shaft clockwise while push-
ing down on the water pump housing.
Checking the lower unit for air leakage
1. Check:
• No air leakage
Air leakage

Repair the location of the
leak.

a. Remove the oil level plug “1”, and then in-
stall the leakage tester “2”.
