Removing the exhaust cover
1. Loosen the exhaust cover bolts

in the
order

, and so on, and then remove
the exhaust covers

and
3
.
Checking the exhaust cover anode
1. Check the anodes. Replace if eroded.
Clean if there is grease, oil, or scales.
NOTICE: Do not apply grease, oil, or
paint the anodes.
Installing the exhaust cover
1. Install the anodes 1 and 2 , and then
tighten the screws 3 to specified torque.
2. Install new gaskets

and the exhaust
covers

and
6
, and then tighten the
exhaust cover bolts

to the specified
torques in 2 stages and in the order
1
,
2
, and so on.
3. Tighten the exhaust outer cover plugs

to the specified torque.
