Manual Starting:
5. Grasp the recoil starter handle and pull slowly until
resistance is felt. Give the starter handle and rope
a short, brisk pull to start the engine.
WARNING
Be careful when using recoil starter. In rare cases,
the recoil starter handle can be drawn back quickly
by the engine kickback.
NOTICE
9
Pull the recoil starter handle straight out.
Pulling at an angle could damage the recoil
starter rope or other generator parts.
9
Do not allow the starter handle and rope to
snap back after starting; return it gently to its
original place. Letting go of the handle while
the starter rope is extended will allow the
recoil starter to rewind rapidly, which can
cause damage to the generator.
9
Grasp the carrying handle firmly to prevent the
generator from falling over when pulling the
recoil starter.
TIP
Soon after the purchase or after draining the fuel from
the carburetor with the drain screw, the fuel will not be
supplied to the entire starting system automatically.
Thus, the recoil starter handle may have to be pulled a
few times until the engine starts.
