MIDI parameters are related to transmissio n and
receptio n o f MIDI messag es to and fro m an external
MIDI device. There are five parameters available,
including Tx Ch (Transmit Channel), Rx Ch (Receive
Channel), Device N umber, Lo cal, and Bulk Dump.
●
Tx Ch
(Tra nsm it Cha nnel)
The Transmit Channel parameter sets the MIDI channel
o n which the AN 1 x’s keybo ard, co ntro llers and
switches transmit MIDI messag es. W hen no t
transmitting to an external device, set Tx Ch to “ o ff” .
Although MIDI Tx Ch and MIDI PtnTxCh can be set to the same channel, the notes
played on the keyboard may interfere with the notes of the Arpeggiator or Step
Sequencer pattern. Therefore, it is best to set each to a different channel number.
Settings:
1 ~ 1 6 , o ff
The AN1 x can play and control ( and be controlled by) other MIDI devices such as
tone generators, sequencers, and more. For information about MIDI, see page
1 0 9 .
●
Rx Ch
(Receive Cha nnel)
The Receive Channel parameter sets the MIDI channel
o n which the AN 1 x’s to ne g enerato r receives MIDI
no te, co ntro ller and o ther messag es. W hen Layer mo de
is set to SIN G LE o r UN ISO N , the current Scene setting
determines which Scene is played by external MIDI
sig nals.
Each Scene can be assig ned its o wn MIDI channel and
be played independently by inco ming MIDI sig nals
(when Layer mo de is set to SPLIT/ SPLIT UN ISO N o r
DUAL/ DUAL UN ISO N ). W hen no t receiving fro m an
external device, set Rx Ch to “ o ff” .
Settings:
SIN GLE/ UN ISO N :
1 ~ 1 6 , o ff
SPLIT/ SPLIT UN ISO N / DUAL/ DUAL UN ISO N :
Scene 1 : 1 ~ 1 6 , o ff; Scene 2 : 1 ~ 1 6 , o ff
When Layer mode is set to SINGLE or UNISON, the receive channel for Scene 1
and Scene 2 are the same, and you cannot select a different receive channel for
each.
