W ha t I s A Voi ce ?
O ver the years, the meaning o f the term “ vo ice” , when
applied to synthesiz ers, has varied depending o n
manufacturers and mo dels. In g eneral, it means a so und,
which in so me synths is called a “ patch” , and in o thers a
“ pro g ram” .
W ith the AN 1 x, a vo ice is a co nfig uratio n o f all to ne
g enerato r and o ther parameter setting s, including effects
setups and data fo r a sing le Vo ice Pattern, but excluding
system setting s o r the bank o f Step Sequencer User
Patterns. Therefo re, each o f the 1 2 8 vo ices in memo ry
can have its o wn unique co nfig uratio n o f all main
parameters.
AN 1 x M e m or y Str ucture
The AN 1 x has a simple and straig htfo rward memo ry structure. There
are o nly two main types o f data: vo ice data and system data. There
is also a separate memo ry fo r the Step Sequencer User Pattern bank.
