Arpe g g i o Subdi v i de
The Arpeg g io Subdivide parameter lets yo u desig nate
the timing subdivisio n (reso lutio n) value fo r the
Arpeg g iato r pattern. W hen Arp/ SEQ is set to “ Step
SEQ ” , this parameter is no t available. (Fo r info rmatio n
abo ut timing reso lutio n fo r the Step Sequencer, see
pag es 4 2 , 9 1 .)
When Arp/ SEQ is set to “ SEQ” , the Subdivide function cannot be accessed, and
“ – – – -” will appear in the LCD.

Pla y EF
(Pla y Effect)
The Play Effect parameters let yo u desig nate setting s
which can permit the Arpeg g iato r o r Step Sequencer
pattern to o btain a mo re human “ feel” . There are three
Play Effect parameters, including Swing , Velo city and
G ate Time.
●
Sw i ng
The Swing parameter lets yo u apply a Swing rate to
the Step Sequencer pattern to slig htly shift certain beats
in o rder to create a “ swing ” feel. A setting o f “ 5 0 %”
pro duces no Swing and “ 8 3 %” pro duces maximum
Swing . Fo r info rmatio n abo ut ho w the Swing levels
affect the rhythm o f the pattern, see the chart belo w.
Settings:
5 0 ~ 8 3 %
The Swing parameter is not available when Arp/ SEQ is set to “ Arpeggio”
( Arpeggiator) .

Ve l o ci t y
The Velo city parameter sets the ratio between the lo wer
and hig her velo city values o f the Arpeg g iato r o r Step
Sequencer pattern, o ver a rang e between 1 % and
2 0 0 %. A setting o f “ 1 0 0 %” maintains the o rig inal
velo city relatio nship between the no tes. Lo wer values
adjust velo cities do wnward at playback, and hig her
values adjust velo cities upward at playback. A setting
o f “ real” (Real-time) will cause the velo city values o f the
pattern to be determined by the velo city at which yo u
play the keybo ard, in relatio n to the VCA Vel Sens
setting .
Settings:
real (Real-time), 1 ~ 2 0 0 %
●
G a t e Ti m e
The G ate Time parameter adjusts the no te leng th (the
duratio n o f the no te) either sho rter o r lo ng er, as a
percentag e o f the o rig inal. This lets yo u, fo r example,
set the no te to play staccato , so that its so und switches
o ff well befo re its step time is o ver. O r yo u can have
the no te ho ld rig ht up to the start o f the subsequent step
so that it slurs (leg ato ) into the next no te. A setting o f
“ 1 0 0 %” maintains the o rig inal relatio nship between
no tes. Lo wer values decrease G ate Time, and hig her
values increase G ate Time.
Settings:
1 ~ 2 0 0 %
The Gate Time parameter is not available when Arp/ SEQ is set to “ Arpeggio”
( Arpeggiator) .
If the Gate Time setting exceeds the original note length, then the Gate Time
percentage will automatically be adjusted so the note length will not interfere with
the legato.
