REMOVING THE STEERING STEM
1. Remove:
•
steering stem
When loosening each tie-rod end nut , hold
the tie-rod ball joint with a 14-mm wrench .
CHECKING THE STEERING STEM
1. Check:
•
steering stem
Bends
Replace.
Do not attempt to straighten a bent stem;
this may dangerously weaken the stem.
2. Check:
•
steering stem bushings
•
oil seal
Wear/damage Replace.
