Audio notification of a beacon or message received
APRS RINGER function
An audio notification can be set to sound when an APRS beacon arrives from a partner
station.

Press and hold the [
F
MENU
] key → Touch [
APRS
] → [
10 APRS RINGER
].

Turn the DIAL knob to select the item to be set.
Please refer to the list of set mode actions (page 50) for the details of each item.

Turn the DIAL knob to select “ON” or “OFF”.

Press the

BACK
]
key.

Repeat Step 2 to 5 to set the remaining items.

Press the PTT.
To exit the set mode and return to the operating screen.
Displaying RAW packet data
Display the packet data (raw data) of the partner station from the APRS STATION LIST
detail screen.

MENU
] → Touch [
S.LIST
].
The APRS STATION LIST screen will be displayed.

Turn the DIAL knob to select the beacon.
Select the beacon station to confirm the RAW packet data.

Press the

F
MENU
]
key.
A detail screen of the APRS STATION LIST will appear in the display.

Touch followed by [
RAW
].
The RAW packet data will appear in the display.
Turn the DIAL knob to scroll the screen display.

Touch followed by [
NORMAL
] to return to the detail
screen.

Press the
[
BACK
]
key twice.
To exit the APRS STATION LIST screen and return to the
operating screen.
