Setting the Operating Frequency
Rotate the
DIAL
knob to set the frequency.
Rotate clockwise to increases the operating
frequency and rotate counter-clockwise to de-
crease the operating frequency.

Two settings, one “normal” and one “fast”, are available for each operating mode.
Pressing the
[
FAST
] key engages the “Fast” tuning selection (see table below).

The Main Tuning Dial tuning step default settings are: SSB,AM (10 Hz); CW/RTTY/
DATA (5 Hz); and FM (100 Hz). The step settings may be changed according to
operator preference via MENU items “

”.
Changing frequency up and down quickly with the MULTI function Knob
Press the
MULTI
function knob, and then
rotate it to adjust the frequency up and down.
NOTE:
If the frequency is not changed by rotat-
ing the
MULTI
function knob, press
the
MULTI
function knob repeatedly
to restore the up and down function.
