The display shows the current operating conditions.

PTT Switch

 ( 17)

• Press and hold the 

PTT

 switch to transmit, and release it to receive.

• In the Set mode, press the 

PTT

 switch to save the new setting and return to normal operation.

Microphone

MONI/T.CALL Switch

USA/Asian version

Press the 

MONI/T.CALL

 switch to open the squelch.

European version

Press the 

MONI/T.CALL

 switch to activates the T-CALL(1750 Hz).

Regarding the current operating mode, both the analog FM and C4FM may moni-

tor the received audio signal.
Press the [

F

]

 key → press the 

MONI/T-CALL 

switch and then rotate the 

DIAL 

knob to adjust the squelch.

VOL Switch

While pressing and holding the 

VOL

 switch, rotate the 

DIAL

 knob to adjust the audio volume level.

Power (Lock) Switch
