Close the clamping jaw to clamp the fence wire (Fig.

 

2). Make sure that the wire is clamped in 

a safe way by trying to pull it out of the fence wire body. Should the wire not be clamped safely 
and slip through the clamping jaw, produce more clamping force  by applying the lever of the 
clamping jaws.

 

 

Tensioning the fence wire when attaching to a fence post

 

 

1.

 

Tighten the fence wire by hand until it sags no longer.

 

2.

 

Clamp the wire in the locking hook of the clamping jaws, then attach the fixed hook to the post 
(Fig.

 

3).

 

 

 Note! 

If the fixed hook cannot be attached directly to the fence post by reason of the size or shape 

of the latter, lay a chain around the post and attach the fixed hook to that chain.

Tighten the wire excess by hand until it is tightened so that the tensioner sticks to the post itself.
