Troubleshooting
Problem
Proposed solution
The device is switched on, yet the power LED is
off, the fan does not work, and there is no welding
performance.
1.
Check if the power switch is switched off.
2.
Check for loose cables inside the ma-
chine.
3.
Missing input power
4.
Defective fan
The display is normal, the fan is working normally,
yet there is no output current.
1.
Check if the inner cable is in good condi-
tion.
2.
Check if the inner connections are in good
condition.
3.
Check if the power LED is lit. If not, there
is a circuit problem.
The machine is switched on, yet the fan does not
work nor is there any output current.
1.
Defective external power supply
2.
Damage to the supply cable
The machine is switched on, welding works nor-
mally, yet there is a sudden activation of the pro-
tection switch.
1.
The input current is too high due to an
electric leak.
2.
IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor)
or bridge damaged
The machine is switched on, yet the output current
is too low during welding.
1.
Insufficient cable connection of the poten-
tiometer
2.
Potentiometer damaged
3.
Error in the circuit
The electrode holder is getting very hot.
The nominal current of the electrode holder is
lower than the actual working current. Replace it
with an electrode holder that has a higher nominal
current.
Excess of welding spatters during MMA welding.
The output polarity is inverted. Reverse polarity.
