Thank you for purchasing Xit 404’s Video Tripod Bracket. Below are mounting
instructions. On the back is our warranty and information to help you prolong the
life of your tripod bracket.
Video Tripod Bracket Mounting Instructions
1. Assemble all the parts you will need on a flat surface: your housing,the hardware
mounting kit (supplied), Video Tripod Bracket, corrosion inhibitor such as Lanapro or
Lanocote (not included), and drawings.
2. Identify the correct mounting holes to use on the Video Tripod Bracket.
4. Place your housing upside down on a table.
5. Orient the Video Tripod Bracket so there is one Ball Adaptor on each side, and one
towards the back of the housing.
6. Align the correct mounting holes on the Video Tripod Bracket with the holes on
your housing.
7. Thread the center screw provided, using corrosion inhibitor on the screw threads,
through the Video Tripod Bracket into your housing until finger tight.
8. Thread the two set screws into the bracket and use these to align the bracket
with your housing. The set screws will align with two pockets on your housing.
9. Once the housing and bracket are aligned then tighten the center screw first with
the 3/16” hex key provided. Then tighten the two set screws with the 1/8” hex key.
IMPORTANT: You need to use corrosion inhibitor (such as Lanapro or Lanocote) on
the screw threads. Be sure to disassemble the Video Tripod Bracket from the housing
after each diving trip and clean it of any salt buildup or corrosion.
