ECDIS User manual

The updated product catalogue possibly exists in the canceled electronic chart

cell. For each electronic chart cell that has been canceled, you will get the following
prompt: “

[CN302307] electronic chart cell has been canceled or won’t be

updated any longer. In no case shall it be used for navigation. Are you sure to
uninstall this electronic chart cell?”

Once you click “Yes”, the system will uninstall

this electronic chart cell. You can also click “No” to retain the electronic chart cell.
However, you will steel receive this prompt when you browse this electronic chart cell
in the future.

3.9.2 Install Map (S-57 Electronic Chart)

Some data packets of S-57 electronic charts are possibly not organized according to S-63
data protection solution, so ways of manual installation shall be provided. Notes: the
manual installation doesn’t support data of S-63 electronic charts.

Click “install map” to enter the window of “choose file” to select the address to load
documents, find the file “ENC_ROOT” to be loaded, select the file named “ENC_ROOT”
and click “choose file”.

3.9.3 Uninstall electronic chart

You can uninstall an electronic chart in the dialog box of the chart cell. After the electronic
chart is uninstalled, it will be deleted from the record of the cell record. Then, it won’t be
used for display and navigation any more.
