Operation

For a proper operation of your camera there are certain requirements that have to be met. You can read more about these requirement as
well as about the correct usage of camera in the following sections.

System requirements

Software requirements

Cameras are compatible with the following operating systems:

Linux Ubuntu

MacOS 10.8 or newer

All XIMEA cameras are compatible with the most advanced Vision and Image Processing Libraries. See chapter

XIMEA Software Packages

for more information about the options to access cameras, as well as a list of currently supported libraries and frameworks supported in
Windows. For more information visit page:

Hardware requirements

The XIMEA xiB & xiB-64 cameras are compatible with PCI express Generation 2 & 3.

For best processing performance and bandwidth, we recommend using the following system configuration. This is essential when using
the higher resolution models for achieving maximum frame rate.

RAM:

4GB RAM or more

Disc Space:

200 MB of free disc space

Video:

NVIDIA or Radeon graphics card 128MB or integrated on CPU

Ports:

Connection and cables

For a proper operation of your camera specific order of steps need to be followed. All cables need to be connected with disconnected power
from system. After enabling power to camera or recycling the power the host system need to be power on, or restarted.
