Removing a Fiber Optic Cable

WARNING! Do not look directly into the fiber transceiver or cables as the laser beams can damage your
eyesight.

ATTENTION! Ne regardez pas directement dans l'émetteur-récepteur à fibre optique ou les câbles car les
faisceaux laser peuvent endommager votre vue.

To remove a fiber optic cable:

1. Remove the cable from the adapter bracket and replace the fiber optic connector cover.

2. Pull the plastic or wire tab to release the adapter bracket.

3. Hold the main body of the adapter bracket and remove it from the adapter.

Status LEDs

Each DSFP28 cage has two adjacent LEDs, showing the status of its two supported ports:

• The LEDs for cage 1 show the status of ports 0 and 2.

• The LEDs for cage 2 show the status of ports 1 and 3.
