Memory Cards
Can I use a memory card with the camera?
• Yes, you can use a 8, 16 or 32GB microSD card (class 4 or higher).
Should I format the memory card first?
• Yes, you should use FAT32 format and erase the card before use.
What else should I note when using a memory card?
• Inserting a memory card while the camera is on forces it to restart.
• Do not remove the memory card while the camera is on or recording.
Companion App
• Please wait for the orange LED indicator on the front of the camera to turn blue and stop
flashing before using the companion app.
• Use only the companion app to update firmware unless you require RTSP support.
How to Enable RTSP Support
• The camera comes pre-installed with firmware version 1.8.5.1N_201512212009.
• If you'd like to enable RTSP you will need to manually flash new firmware (see below).
How to flash firmware
• Download RTSP firmware via the link below.
•
• Extract the .zip file from the link above and copy the "test" folder to your microSD card (make
sure the card is formatted to FAT32).
• While the camera is on, press and hold the reset button on the back for 20 seconds (use a
sim-eject tool for best results).
