6.3.3 Space Requirements
Minimum space requirements are needed for
normal operator and service maintenance
functions (Figure 1). The terminal should be
placed on a stable, flat surface within 5 feet
(1.5 meters) of a telephone outlet and within 5
feet (1.5 meters) of a grounded electrical
outlet. Clearance should be maintained above
the unit so the covers can be opened. The
terminal should not be contained within any
type of enclosure.
The terminal is considered movable if proper
telephone interface is available.
