This chapter provides troubleshooting tips.

On a Windows computer

Setting up printing on Windows 2000/XP computers

If you have problems installing the EX7750 with Windows 2000/XP, try installing 
another PostScript printer (such as the Apple LaserWriter IIg), and then install the 
EX7750. Installing another printer ensures that all files are properly installed and 
available. For instructions, see your Windows documentation.

For information about problems you may encounter using the PostScript Printer 
Driver for Windows 2000/XP, see the Adobe README file (readme) included on the 
User Software CD. For Windows 2000/XP, see your Windows documentation.

Problems with the Fiery utilities on Windows computers

If you are experiencing problems with connections for the Fiery utilities, try 
the following:

1.

Make sure the TCP/IP networking protocol is enabled. 

2.

Make sure the connection is configured correctly for your site.

To check the current configuration, start a Fiery utility and choose Open from the File 
menu. Select the EX7750 and click Modify to see current settings. If the settings are 
incorrect, you can change them in this dialog box.
