General Troubleshooting

Sub Motor

The Sub Motor is located in the Main Drive and drives the Fuser and Developer.

Note

Install the safety interlock override to provide power to the device under test.

1. Enter Service Diagnostics (page 4-4).

2. Open the Front Cover.

3. Perform the Sub Motor test:

Engine Diag

Motor Test

Sub Motor (DO-5,

DO-6, DO-7)

. The rotational speed order of the test is DO-7 > DO-5 > DO-6.

4. Verify that the Sub Motor is running and the Exit Roller is rotating.

5. Press the

Stop

button to stop the Sub Motor test.
