Exploring the Pagis Index Manager
The Pagis Index Manager is a program that you run to create,
define, delete, schedule updates for, and otherwise manage your
search indexes.
To launch the Index Manager, click its tool icon (shown to the
left) on the Pagis ToolBar. Or, you can select:

The view area of the Index Manager shows the indexes that have
been defined so far on your system. Initially, only the default
index, Pagis Index, is shown.
The column headings along the top of the view area provide a
variety of information. For example, one column notes when the
index was last modified (that is, when files were added to the
index during an update). Other columns describe which direc-
tories are included in, and excluded from, the index, and the file
extensions (and, therefore, file types) included in the index.
For each index, you can use the Index menu commands
described in the following subsections to modify these attributes.
