Note
In duplex configurations, independent meters are maintained for each CiPress
™
.
Four image frame types define the four billing meters:
Frame Type Billing Meter
Frames containing a number of color contone pixels that exceed a
specified threshold. Full Color
Frames containing at least one color contone pixel, and the total number
of contone color pixels is below a specified threshold. Low Color
Frames including only K-only contone pixels, and printed using some C,
M, and / or Y ink. Process Black (CMYK)
Frames including only K-only contone pixels, and printed using only
K-only black ink. Black (K)
Note
Web advanced without printing (using a web advance control) does not affect billing
or usage meters.
The Meters tab has one button:
• Submit Counts
Transmits current total counts to Xerox for billing purposes.
Total Count represents the on-going print total from the initial installation of the CiPress
™
.
Caution
Submitting billing counts while a job is printing will cause production to stop while billing
data is collected.
Test Patterns Tab
Use the test patterns function to perform image quality troubleshooting. By printing
sample patterns, you can:
• Analyze ink jet performance
• Identify color application problems
From the Test Patterns tab, you can select from a list of test patterns stored in the
CiPress
™
and submit a pattern for simplex printing. If necessary, you have the option to
select Duplex printing.
The test patterns are in a table where each pattern has a distinct number and name.
To locate a particular pattern, you can select the Number and Name column headings
to sort the column contents in ascending or descending order.
When you select a test pattern from the list, an enlarged preview of the pattern displays
on the right side of the screen.
The Send to Production button immediately prints the selected pattern.
