Scan to File

New Auto Generate:

automatically names documents

being scanned.

New Exact:

uniquely names documents being scanned and

will not overwrite other documents.

Overwrite:

replaces existing documents with the same

name as documents being scanned.

Append:

adds to an existing document with the same name

as the document being scanned.

Copy of Originals displays the Proof Before Send window, where you can

specify whether or not you want to print a hard copy of the
filed images.

The

Document Centre

creates a separate TIFF 6.0,

Multipage Tiff or PDF formatted file for each page it scans.

NOTE:

The

Document Centre 332/340

supports both PDF

and TIFF File Formats. The PDF image format is a TIFF
image enclosed within a PDF wrapper. The

Document

Centre 220/230 s

upports only the TIFF image format.

Files are stored on the file server and directory path
specified within the job template. If a file server is not
specified, the default repository is used.

If a folder name is specified within the job template, the
system creates the subdirectory

<Folder Name>.xsm

in the

directory path. If a folder name is not specified, the folder
name used is ddhhmmss, whereasdd = the day of the
month; and hh, mm and ss = the current time in hours,
minutes and seconds, respectively. The files are named
#####.tif; whereas ##### is the page number. Pages are
numbered sequentially. The starting page number is
dependent on the filing policy chosen. If

Append

is specified,

the system starts with the largest page number present in
the folder. If

Overwrite

is specified, the system deletes any

existing files in the specified folder and starts with the
number 1.

In addition to the TIFF files, the system creates the following
files and stores them in the specified directory:
