Safety Information
Important!
1. Headings in the Manual such as Hazards, Warnings, Precautions and Notes
warn you of important operating instructions or potentially dangerous
situations. Pay special attention to this type of information.
2. This smoke alarm is not designed to alert hearing impaired individuals.
Remember that the use of alcohol, drugs and narcotics can impair the
ability to hear the smoke alarm.
3. Keep in mind that fires in the chimney, walls, roof and on other floors or
behind closed doors may not be detected by this smoke alarm.
4. This unit does not detect flames, heat, carbon monoxide or other
dangerous gases.
Warning!
1. Never ignore an alarm. Not reacting can result in serious injury or, in the
worst case, death.
2. The pause function is for your convenience only. If you have had an alarm,
check carefully so that there are no smouldering fires or things in a similar
way that can create a fire.
3. Test the smoke alarm once a week. If the alarm cannot be tested correctly,
replace the unit immediately! If the alarm does not work properly, it does
not warn you if the accident should occur.
Set and Connect Smoke Alarms
All XS01-W smoke alarms include a built-in RF module that allows you
to wirelessly connect two or more smoke alarms together and create an
interconnected network. When a device alarms, all interconnected devices
will also sound an alarm.
