ISE User Guide Monitoring
Environment Status
The following section describes monitoring the environmental status of ISE systems from the Web interfaces.
Orchestrator
To view the ISE component details including their internal environment using Orchestrator, follow the
procedures detailed in the
Physical View
of the
Orchestrator User Guide
.
Web-Mgt
Through the Web-Mgt interface ISE component details, including their internal environment, are accessible.
Hover the pointer over the
Environment
tab then select an ISE hardware or software component from the
pull-down menu. Each selected component is then detailed in the details pane and discussed in this section.
Temperature Indicators
Environmental displays for the MRCs, DataPacs, and power supplies include a visual temperature gauge (see
the example below). This gauge is also displayed for the overall ISE in the At-A-Glance Summary view (see
“System Status LED States” on page 102). Above the temperature gauge, the current reading is displayed. In
the example below, the current reading is 30°C.

The temperature gauge visually presents the following data:
•
Current temperature (bright green)
• Remaining operational temperature range (light green)
• Warning threshold and range (light yellow)
• Critical threshold and range to 100° (light red)
The warning and critical temperature thresholds, fixed by the manufacturer, are shown below the gauge.

If a disparity (gauge text and color bar misaligned) exists between the temperature bar and the
temperature gauge below it, change the

setting of the browser to
Medium

When the ambient temperature exceeds the warning or critical thresholds, the color of the current temperature
reading bar changes as described in Table 31. Warning or critical symbols are displayed in the status views of
the Web-Mgt pages and warning or critical events occur and traps are sent if enabled. If the ambient
temperature of a component crosses the critical threshold, the amber LED on that component is illuminated.
