1 General information for users
Würth Auto-Measurefix is a high quality product and is intended to be used for the following applications:
o
Measuring a car’s body after a crash
o
Quality control after repairs of a car body
To maximize the lifetime of your Auto-Measurefix, the following items need to be considered:
o
Handle the Auto-Measurefix carefully as it is a high precision measuring unit.
o
Don’t collapse the telescopic tubes when they are soiled. In case of soiling clean them carefully with a dry
cloth.
o
NEVER
lubricate the aluminium tubes with oil! The Auto-Measurefix must not be used for measuring in any
kind of fluid.
o
DANGER
: Take care on electrical wires as the Auto-Measurefix is conductive! Don’t touch electrical wires
with your Auto-Measurefix.
o
Regularly check the function and accuracy of your Auto-Measuringfix. Compare the length shown in the
analog display with a folding rule or a measuring tape. Please ensure that the analog display of your Auto-
Measurefix shows the following values in case the unit is totally collapsed. The displayed value may vary
according to the following table:

3 Usage of Auto-Measurefix
Checking the width of any kind of openings
It is recommended to use the measuring tips. They are attached to the Auto-Measurefix as shown below. Fix the tip
by fastening the knurl screw.
