4.4.3 Extended access control with instrument block
If the extended access control with instrument block is enabled, only
the IQ S
ENSOR

logo is displayed on the terminal where the instru
-
ment block was activated.
As soon as a password was entered, a symbol for the currently enabled
access authorization is displayed.
Crown: Administrator logged in, all functions allowed
Tool: User with authorization for maintenance activities logged in (e.g.
calibration)
Eye: Observer without authorization
The relevant symbol is displayed depending on the currently active
user authorization. Functions that are not allowed are not displayed in
the menu.
Access as observer, user
or administrator
User authorization is required for all jobs, even for viewing the mea
-
sured values. You have to log in with a password. This can be done as
follows:

Press the any button.
The password prompt appears.
Enter the password with the arrow keys and confirm with OK.
The relevant user authorization is enabled.

Connect the electronic key to the USB interface of the MIQ/
TC 2020 XT terminal
(if the administrator has enabled this function)
The relevant user authorization is enabled.
Logging off
Protecting the system and
terminal
There are the following ways to protect the system and to lock the ter
-
minal:

Select the
Display/Options
/
Lock Device
menu.
The system is protected. The instrument is blocked.

Disconnect the electronic key from the USB interface of the MIQ/
TC 2020 XT terminal.

After 10 minutes without keystroke, the user or administrator is auto
-
matically logged off from the system and the system safety is auto
-
matically activated.
