STEPPER APPROACHING MAX:
(FAULT) (ALERT)
(NONE)
When a weld schedule is assigned to a linear stepper, this
fault indicates that the stepper has begun the final step of the
assigned stepper.
END OF STEPPER:
(FAULT) (ALERT)
The END OF STEPPER fault indicates that a stepper has
completed the last weld in the final step of the assigned
stepper.
SUREWELD TREND LIMIT:
(FAULT) (ALERT)
If the last weld schedule initiated was assigned to a SureWeld
stepper, this condition indicates that a stepper reached a
programmed alert point (as defined by the stepper
parameters). This indicates that the stepper is applying the
maximum current boost allowed to the weld.
HIGH CURRENT LIMIT:
(FAULT) (ALERT)
LOW CURRENT LIMIT:
(FAULT) (ALERT)
These faults indicate that the welding conditions during a
weld function, exceeded or fell below the range programmed
in the setup parameters.
SCR MISFIRE:
(FAULT) (ALERT)
This condition occurs if there is conduction on one half-cycle
and no conduction on the next half-cycle during a weld
function. This condition may result if arcing occurs during
the weld functions.
TIPS NOT TOUCHING:
(FAULT)
TIPS TOUCHING:
(FAULT)
These two conditions are mutually exclusive. (Both cannot
occur within one weld schedule.) Three causes can generate
these faults:
•
If the schedule contains the test fire function (#39) and the
function FAULT IF TIPS TOUCHING, AND the control
detects more than 10 A. of primary current during the test fire,
the control assumes that the tips were closed. It then generates
the TIPS TOUCHING fault.
